Architecture & Fabrication

Thanks to my minor in architecture, I often participate in architectural competitions and events. Some, such as the 72 Hour Urban Action events, also require fabrication and construction skills. These competitions eventually led me to take on some professional work as a physical experience designer with Future Colossal, as well as freelance work with a startup called Monsterful VR. In these roles, even when the scale or materials were beyond my skills, I contracted and oversaw fabrication by other builders, making sure projects remained on track even when being built externally. These experiences helped me bring my interactive design experience into the real world, and I still find that the skills I gained from these projects make their way into many of my purely digital creations.
